[TV News] Syfy’s Eureka and Warehouse 13 back in July!

Hi again!

Wow, July 2010 is shaping up to be a busy month for television! Covert Affairs and Being Human are coming back, as are Eureka and Warehouse 13!

We’ve been big fans of the quirky Eureka since it started a few years ago. Hard to believe that season 4 starts up on July 9, 2010!

As I saw in a recent press release: “Eureka seems like any other cozy, Pacific Northwest town, but is actually a secret community of geniuses assembled by the government to conduct top-secret research. What they’ve unwittingly created is a place where anything imaginable can happen… and does. The series stars Colin Ferguson, Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Joe Morton, Erica Cerra, Neil Grayston, and Niall Matter.”

This year, it looks like we’ll see some interesting guest stars – Jamie Kennedy, Jamie Ray Newman, Matt Frewer, and Wil Wheaton! Frewer is always entertaining as the wacky Taggart. And I’m guessing Sheldon Cooper (Big Bang Theory) probably won’t be excited about Wheaton in Eureka, but these days he seems to find cherry roles for himself, so we’ll see how he does.

And Warehouse 13, which combines a bit of the warehouse at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark with Steampunk sensibilities and humor, is coming back for Season 2! It too is getting some fun guest stars – Lindsay Wagner, Tia Carrere, Jewel Staite, Sean Maher, Philip Winchester, and Nolan Gerard Funk. Hard not to get excited when the Bionic Woman and Kaylee from Firefly are on board!

Again, from a recent press release – “Warehouse 13 follows two Secret Service agents who find themselves abruptly transferred to a massive, top-secret storage facility in windswept South Dakota which houses every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object and supernatural souvenir ever collected by the U.S. government. The Warehouse’s caretaker Artie (Saul Rubinek) charges Agents Pete Lattimer (Eddie McClintock) and Myka Bering (Joanne Kelly) with chasing down reports of supernatural and paranormal activity in search of new objects to cache at the Warehouse, as well as helping him to control the Warehouse itself.”

Here’s a trailer for season 2 that was just released:

Seems like July will be a good month for television at my house!
