British TV, especially in the science fiction/fantasy/comedy areas, has always been slightly ahead of the curve and willing to take more chances than American television. Case in point is Being Human, a show with a premise that reads like a bad joke yet managed to provide a gripping narrative about three interesting characters in a world right under our noses…
If you don’t know about the show, it’s about three supernatural individuals in their mid-20s who are living together in an attempt to get along with humanity instead of hiding or fighting against it. A werewolf, a vampire, and a ghost struggle to live with their otherworldly selves in addition to dealing with living normal lives.
The second season airs on BBC America on July 24, 2010, and I’m very excited.
