You know I don’t typically go for mainstream movies – I prefer escapism to reality. So I’m not sure why I was attracted by the title of The Lincoln Lawyer, but I was. Turns out it wasn’t about Abraham Lincoln at all, but about a lawyer who drives around in a Lincoln Towncar.
Based on the best-selling novel by Michael Connelly the movie stars an amazing cast including Matthew McConaughey, Academy Award winner Marisa Tomei, Ryan Phillippe, Academy Award nominee William H. Macy, John Leguizamo, Josh Lucas and Michael Peña. The Lincoln Lawyer will release in theaters nationwide on March 18, 2011.
OFFICIAL SYNOSIS:
Mickey Haller (Matthew McConaughey) is a Los Angeles criminal defense attorney who operates out of the back of his Lincoln sedan. Haller has spent most of his career defending garden-variety criminals, until he lands the case of his career: defending Louis Roulet (Ryan Phillippe), a Beverly Hills playboy accused of rape and attempted murder. But the seemingly straightforward case suddenly develops into a deadly game of survival for Haller.
