Mickey Mouse Clubouse – Mickey’s Storybook Surprises released September 2, 2008!

Mickey\'s Storybook Surprises DVD CoverHey all!

I recently had an opportunity to check out the new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVD – Mickey’s Storybook Surprises. This DVD contains 4 separate episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and will be available on September 2, 2008.

Mickey Mouse and his pals – Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, Chip, and Dale – explore a few classic fairy tales, from magic frogs to sleeping spells, they explore a few mysteries and help their friends along the way.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is one of Nielsen’s #1 rated kids shows for ages 2 to 5. Preschoolers learn simple lessons of teamwork, problem-solving, and counting.

In Minnie’s Mystery, the gang needs help finding the culprit who ate some of Minnie’s muffins. Along the way, they find clues and solve the mystery with the Mouse-ka-tools!

Minnie\'s Mystery

In Donald the Frog Prince, the gang has to rescue Donald when he’s turned into a frog and can only be saved by the kiss of the fair Princess Daisy. Kids get a chance to learn the concept of “big, bigger, biggest” along the way and figure out how to rescue the princess and save Donald!

In Minnie Red Riding Hood, Mickey & Minnie try to help out their friend Goofy, who has caught a cold while camping. And they run into challenges along the way that they must get through.

And in Sleeping Minnie, Mickey must get the right tools to save Minnie from a 100-year sleep!

Minnie Red Riding HoodThis DVD was a huge hit with my two girls – ages 3 and 7. It kept their attention and kept them involved, unlike many cartoons they tend to like to watch. My wife and I like it when Disney creates educational, yet fun programs like Mickey’s Clubhouse.

We’ll give it a solid 4/4 for kids. (As an adult I could only sit through a couple of episodes before I had had enough, but my girls stayed for all 4!)

The DVD is available on September 2, 2008, for $19.99 (US) or $24.99 (Canada). You can find it wherever Disney DVDs are sold.

Until next time… go see a movie!
