Yes, I’m continuing the theme of movies I should’ve reviewed weeks ago but didn’t have time. 🙂
This time it’s “Fracture” starring Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling. Hopkins plays a successful businessman who tries to get away with murder. Gosling tries to stop him. Pretty simple really. But as I’ve said before, it’s more than great scripts and characters that make movies worth watching — the actors in this case made them come to life in a big way.
Here‘s the IMDB link.
This is a suspense thriller at its best. Add smart characters, great actors, and a tight script and you have a great movie.
Hopkins continually proves that old doesn’t mean that he’s lost any steps. He can still act circles around most younger actors. But amazingly, Ryan Gosling held his own. I thought that Gosling’s ambitious attorney was played very well — and this was the case that he just couldn’t let go.
If you like thrillers, this one is definitely worth watching. I give it a solid 3/4. I’m not a huge thriller fan, otherwise I’d rate it higher.
Until next time, go see a movie!
