In lieu of Halloween coming up, I thought I’d do a review of one of my favorite new fun shows of the Fall season — Reaper on the CW network. If you haven’t seen it and have yet to get your daily dose of sarcasm and wit, you’ll probably come out ahead after watching an episode. Here’s the CW site for additional information…
It centers around Sam Oliver (played by Bret Harrison), who discovers in the very first episode that before he was ever born, his parents had sold his soul to the devil. And now that he’s 21, it’s time for the devil to get his due. Sam must help the devil by capturing souls that have escaped from hell and returning them. Sounds easy, right?
Well, Sam is a bit of a slacker. His friends are slackers. And that’s where the sarcasm comes in.
If you liked Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel, this will probably be right up your alley. It is without a doubt one of my guilty pleasures every week.
So please give it a shot… I’d like to see how much more warped Sam’s life can get before the season ends!
