Trailer Time: Green Lantern: Emerald Knights

Hi guys!

I have to admit that the collaboration between Warner Animation and DC Comics has produced some strong animated movies in recent years. Last year’s Green Lantern: First Flight was fun with Christopher Meloni as the voice of Hal Jordan.

This time, it’s Nathan Fillion (TV’s Castle, Firefly) in the role of Hal Jordan in a brand new adventure featuring the Green Lantern Corps and the Guardians of OaGreen Lantern: Emerald Knights releases in June 2011. already has my pre-order in for this one!

Trailer Time: X-Men: First Class

Hey there…

Most of my week has been less than stellar, but this just gave me a bit of hope in an otherwise gloomy day. The X-Men: First Class trailer is up and it shows at once the X-Men we know and love and yet an unexplored landscape of the 1960s.

What really made me smile? The last two lines of the trailer.

Charles Xavier (Professor “X”): “Listen to me very carefully, my friend. Killing will not bring you peace.”
Eric Lehnsherr (Magneto): “Peace was never an option.”

Maybe, just maybe… this will be the comic book movie summer we’ve all been waiting for… The X-Men, Captain America, Green Lantern, and Thor

I’ll just be over in the corner wiping up the drool… X-Men: First Class hits theaters June 3.

Trailer Time: Green Lantern

Is it just me or does this look corny?

Green Lantern stars Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan (Green Lantern) and follows his journey from cocky test pilot to green-clad superhero. And though parts of it look ok, it just seems… off to me. The scene where he shows off his “instant costume” just seems incredibly cheesy.

Green Lantern comes out June 17, 2011 – amidst the rest of the summer blockbusters, so Summer 2011 should be an interesting time for movie-goers.

What do you think?
