Hi all…

Yes, I’m a geek. And I’m proud of it. My wife and girls may not be proud of my geekdom, but I don’t care. I’ve always been a geek and I’m not afraid to tell people. When anybody asks what I do, I tell them I’m a “computer geek.” Why? ‘Cause it’s the truth!

Anyway… This Friday begins the reign of summer movies for 2008. May, June, July, and even August are filled with movie goodness.

But it all starts with Iron Man this Friday. I’m geeked up! I gushed about this movie back in November when I heard it was coming out… (You can read that article here.)

I’m going to see it tomorrow! Just bought my ticket today! I’m hoping to see the Speed Racer world premiere on Sat night in NYC’s Tribeca Film Festival or War, Inc., which comes out this fall. I’m going down for the weekend for 2 screenings and meeting with the directors and a few actors. Have fun at Iron Man Friday night!

Very nice. I’m hoping to see Speed Racer next weekend also. And War Inc looks funny (love Grosse Pointe Blank and this seems sort of a spiritual kin to it). The next few months will hopefully be FULL of great flicks!

OMG My hubby is chomping at the bit to see this movie! I must confess I want to see it as well but I hesitate as I am not sure if Robert Downey Jr can pull it off…. boy it will be great for his career if he does tho!

All the early reviews have said that he pulls it off in spades. I’d like to say I’m cautiously optimistic, but that’d be a lie. I want to have my head blown by this movie. I love Robert Downey Jr — ever since he did Chaplin so long ago — and I think he has the chops to pull it off.
